Job summary

Waverly Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Virginia seeks a dedicated Wound Care Nurse to develop and oversee individualized wound care plans through collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

You will preserve skin integrity, oversee protocols with medical staff, and participate in weekly rounds for high‑risk patients and those with pressure ulcers. Hands‑on wound care and restorative program organization are required as part of a comprehensive care approach.

Qualifications

• Current State License as an RN/LPN.
• LTC/SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preserving the integrity of the skin by implementing and monitoring skin preservation strategies.
• Ensuring all wound and skin care protocols are approved by the medical staff.
• Participating multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds on a weekly basis for high risk patients and patients with current pressure ulcers and other significant wounds.
• Providing hands‑on wound care for all difficult and non‑healing wounds.
• Organize and implement the restorative program.
• Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
