Job summary

Legacy Healthcare LLC is seeking a Wound Care Nurse RN to deliver high-quality wound care and nursing services within a long-term care setting. You will obtain treatment orders, adjust regimens as needed, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

The role requires an RN license, CPR certification, and relevant experience; WOC/WOCN certification is preferred. The position is non-exempt, with steady facility-based hours and open care environments.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of practice.
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years’ experience as an RN or LPN in a long-term care setting.
• WOC or WOCN certification (preferred).
• One year experience as a CNA.
• Knowledge of Federal, State and Local requirements and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care and skin treatments for guests under care.
• Supervise CNAs and ensure tasks are completed per plan.
• Administer medications within RN scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate contemporaneous charting and medical records.
• Round with physicians and assist with care planning and evaluations.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
• Communicate guest needs, preferences and changes to leadership.
