Job summary

Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, seeking an RN to deliver patient care in our Wound Care Center. The role includes intake/discharge, wound assessment, and care planning within a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires an ADN nursing degree and an active RN license; BSN and wound care certifications are preferred. HBO training and safety responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current RN license in the state of practice – to be maintained throughout the duration of employment in the position
• BSN preferred
• Medical Surgical, Home Health or Wound Care Certification preferred
• Wound care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care to Wound Care Center patients and handles patient intake and discharge processes as assigned and according to the hospital and nursing standards
• Assist in vein clinic as assigned after Healogics Vein Clinic training completed
• May also serve as Case Manager to a group of patients as assigned.
• Perform initial nursing assessment, communicate findings with the assigned physician, assess wound stage and measurements, document care plans, evaluate patient status
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, educate patient or caregiver, and act as patient advocate in care delivery and coordination
• Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) related duties after training
• May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after training
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and leadership regarding clinic and patient needs
• May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) per policy
• Perform other duties as required
