Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred or equivalent job-related experience.
• A high level of critical thinking to make decisions and solve problems.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring the accuracy and completeness of reports and data.
• Ability to convey unclaimed property related terminology and information in layman’s terms.

Responsibilities

• Determine required claim documentation and verify ownership through evidentiary review.
• Use fraud training to identify potentially fraudulent claims and escalate for review.
• Verify validity of claims using Accurint/IDI Core and other databases.
• Exhaust all options to obtain needed information before requesting more documents.
• Review claims for discrepancies in forms or supporting documents.
• Approve or deny claims applying relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Create precise electronic and written records in the Unclaimed Property database.
• Advise claimants via in-person, phone, and written correspondence.
• Collaborate with teammates and participate in outreach events.
