Job summary

Endeavors Inc. in Texas seeks a Program Director to provide leadership and oversight for our residential care program, potentially including emergency placement shelters for children in foster care.

You will supervise staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop partnerships with SSCC and community providers to support safety, well-being, and permanency. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, child-centered care and strong customer service as you guide admissions, assessments, and placement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years’ experience supervising residential programming for children.
• Master’s degree in a human services field preferred.
• LMSW, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred; Licensed Child Care Administrator required.
• Three years of experience in residential child welfare, foster care, or youth services with supervisory/management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to build partnerships with staff, partners, and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google tools.
• Ability to pass background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight of the residential program.
• Ensure compliance with Texas childcare licensing regulations and Endeavors policies.
• Supervise staff and evaluate performance.
• Oversee staffing schedules to ensure 24/7 supervision.
• Develop partnerships with SSCC, schools, and behavioral health services.
• Represent Endeavors in the community with agencies.
• Oversee admissions, assessments, and placement coordination.
• Ensure developmentally appropriate programming and safety for children.
• Monitor licensing compliance, documentation, and quality improvement.
• Oversee PAL program documentation.
• Oversee staff hiring and training with HR.
• Monitor performance and reporting; maintain records.
• Ensure staff trained for emergencies; trauma-informed caregiving.
