Job DetailsJob Location: Eagle Lake , TX 77434Position Type: Full-TimeEducation Level: Masters DegreeJob Shift: DaysJOB PURPOSE: The Treatment Director provides leadership and oversight for mental and behavioral health treatment provided in an Endeavors’ residential care program in Texas, which may include emergency placement shelter(s) and/or longer-term residential shelter(s) for children in foster care. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program, supervision of staff, and ensuring compliance with Texas childcare licensing regulations. The Director also develops community partnerships and works collaboratively with the relevant SSCC and other stakeholders to support the safety, well-being, and stability of children in care.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide oversight and leadership of mental and behavioral health treatment of all children in care, including treatment assessments and determination of treatment plan with therapist(s).
  • Supervise therapists and provide consult on cases related to treatment.
  • Direct and manage day-to-day treatment operations, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive residential environment for children in care.
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate therapist staff.
  • Oversee therapists’ schedules and on-call rotation as needed.
  • Lead case overview meetings with case management team to evaluate and assess appropriate trauma-informed case management of all children in care.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community providers, behavioral health services, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent Endeavors and the residential program within the local community and establish collaborative relationships with mental and behavioral health providers.
  • Help ensure children receive developmentally appropriate programming, supervision, and services that support safety, well-being, and permanency outcomes in collaboration with Program Director.
  • Support the development and implementation of program policies, procedures, and quality improvement practices that align with treatment model.
  • Oversee staff hiring and training of therapists and case managers in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Help maintain program records and documentation in accordance with applicable regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Provide consultation, training, and technical assistance to staff regarding engagement, and child-centered, trauma-informed caregiving techniques based on the child, youth, or custom needs.
  • Promote trauma-informed and child-centered practices in all aspects of program service delivery.

  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
  • Psychiatrist or Psychologist or have a Master's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university.
  • LMSW, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT required.
  • Licensed Child Care Administrator preferred.
EXPERIENCE
  • Three years of experience working in a residential child welfare, foster care, or youth services program, including supervisory or management experience required.
  • Three years of experience providing treatment services in a residential setting for children with emotional disorders.
  • Experience operating or supervising a licensed residential childcare facility strongly preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced residential environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Google tools.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Ability to successfully pass required background checks, drug screening, and other employment screenings required for work in licensed residential childcare operations.
