Job summary

Native Health seeks a Substance Use/Behavioral Health Counselor to join a multidisciplinary team focused on substance use and mental health. The role emphasizes direct patient counseling for individuals, families, and groups, with oversight from the Recovery Service Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted AZ licensure as LMSW/LAC/LAMFT/LAAC is required.
• Active and unrestricted AZBBHE licensure as LCSW/LPC/LMFT/LIAC is preferred.
• Three years of specialized substance abuse experience with diverse populations is strongly preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred; fluency evaluation is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and provides therapeutic substance use counseling for individuals, families, and/or groups.
• Provides prevention/education services to the community in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
• Provides accurate documentation, billing, and program audit support.
• Participates in case staffing meetings and peer review sessions.
• Collaborates with the care team and other health care providers for shared patients and care continuity.
• Supports the organization as needed.
