Job summary

Pinnacle Treatment Centers is seeking a Counselor to support recovery efforts for individuals with substance use disorders. You will provide clinical counseling, conduct intakes and assessments, and collaborate on individualized treatment plans within a holistic care framework.

Responsibilities include counseling, risk screening, documentation, and coordination with the treatment team. Licensure or eligibility is required, with opportunities for professional growth and ongoing supervision.

Qualifications

• Must hold current counseling licensure or be eligible for licensure as required by state regulations.
• Provide individual and group counseling aligned with treatment plans and patient goals.
• Perform comprehensive intakes, assessments, and ongoing treatment planning.
• Use evidence-based screening tools to assess mental health and risk factors.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation to new patients on program rules and patient rights.
• Conduct intakes, assessments, and treatment plan development.
• Engage patients in assessment, planning, and relapse prevention efforts.
• Administer biopsychosocial evaluations at intake and ongoing.
• Develop individualized treatment plans addressing patient strengths and preferences.
• Monitor patient status and document changes, identify relapse indicators.
• Adhere to risk management policies and use screening tools to assess risk.
• Refer high-risk cases to appropriate clinicians and document actions.
• Communicate with staff and managers about patient conditions and needs.
