Responsibilities

• Collects case history information and integrates information from patients, family, caregivers, and other professionals to guide evaluation.
• Conducts assessment procedures for speech and language pathology and uses appropriate materials for prevention and intervention.
• Develops and implements a plan of care with measurable goals and collaborates with patients and families.
• Interprets information to develop treatment plans and makes recommendations for intervention.
• Evaluates feeding and swallowing impairments and educates patients and caregivers on home programs.
