Job summary

Young World Physical Education is looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher (Moderate or Severe Needs) for Goodnow Elementary School. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Massachusetts DESE licensure and will provide high-quality instructional support tailored to individual student needs.

This role emphasizes developing and implementing Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) and collaborating with families and staff to enhance student learning. Preferred qualifications include experience in therapeutic environments and bilingual skills in Spanish or Portuguese.

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts DESE licensure in Special Education in the area of Severe or Moderate Needs with ABA experience required.
• Experience in a therapeutic learning environment is strongly preferred.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish and/or Portuguese are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect instructional support to students as per their IEPs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum for students with disabilities.
• Develop and implement Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) with measurable goals.

Skills
