Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the ARD/IEP process and goal setting implementation.
• Demonstrated general knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD.
• Implement instructional or therapeutic programs for assigned students.
• Plan and use strategies reflecting students' learning styles.
• Modify curricula and assist SPED students in regular classes with assignments.
• Participate in ARD meetings and communicate with community.
• Consult with teachers regarding behavior management per IEP guidelines.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain records.
• Create a conducive classroom environment for learning and development.
• Manage student behavior and assist with discipline consistent with IEP.
• Stay informed of regulations and policies for special education.
• Maintain regular attendance at the worksite.
