Job summary

Farmington Public Schools is seeking a Special Service Paraprofessional to support students in West Woods Upper Elementary School (Grades 5-6). The position is 6.5 hours per day during the school year, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Responsibilities include assisting with instruction, personal care, health and safety support, record-keeping, and collaboration with teachers to implement lesson plans. This role offers benefits and eligibility for health insurance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2 years of college or equivalent.
• Ability to develop rapport with students and relate well with teachers.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and supervision as needed.
• Assist with instructional activities and classroom materials.
• Assist with medicine regimen.
• Monitor student progress and record data.
• Escort students between classes and supervise study areas.
