Job summary

Farmington Public Schools is seeking a Special Service Paraprofessional for Union Elementary (Grades K-4). The position is 6.5 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, for the 2026-27 school year, starting immediately. The role includes personal care, instructional support, and data collection in a collaborative setting with teachers.

Requirements include an Associate degree or 2 years of college (Bachelor's preferred). Experience with ABA/DTI and data collection is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years college or Para Pathways Assessment.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Ability to develop rapport with students and work well with teachers.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction by circulating in classroom and modifying materials.
• Assist students with technology and testing; record progress and data.
• Provide personal care/hygiene and assist with medicine regimen as needed.
• Escort students between classes and supervise activities; maintain on-task behavior.
• Handle confidential records and support staff as assigned.
