Job summary

Farmington Public Schools (CT) are seeking a Special Service Paraprofessional for Irving A. Robbins Middle School. The role is 6.5 hours per day for the school year, with on-site duties supporting teachers and students.

Responsibilities include personal care, medication assistance, and classroom support, along with data collection and behavior management. Benefits include health insurance and a defined contribution plan. Salary ranges per FPSEU contract.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2 years of college; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to develop rapport with students and work with teachers.
• Prior experience working with school-age children is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction by circulating in class and modifying instructional materials.
• Assist students with technology and with tests/assessments.
• Observe and record student progress, take attendance, and maintain data.
• Provide personal care/hygiene support and assist with medicine regimen.
• Maintain on-task behavior and address minor behavioral issues; escort students between classes.
• Handle records confidentially and perform related duties as assigned.
