Job summary

Farmington Public Schools in West District Elementary seeks a 1:1 Special Service Paraprofessional for grades K-4. The role is 6.5 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, planned for the school year starting immediately.

Position includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance at $30,000, LTD and a 401a retirement plan; eligibility for multiple paid holidays and sick/personal days.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of college required within 90 days of hire; Bachelor's preferred.
• Ability to develop rapport with students and work well with teachers.
• Ability to follow directions in oral and written form; prior school-age experience is a plus.
• Experience with ABA, DTI and data collection is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction by circulating in classroom and modifying materials.
• Assist students with technology and testing/assessments.
• Document data by recording student progress and taking attendance.
• Provide personal care/hygiene and assist with medicine regimen as needed.
