Job summary

The L'Anse Creuse Public Schools district seeks a CI Special Education Paraprofessional at Frederick V. Pankow Center to support classroom instruction and assist the lead teacher with learning materials and activities.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of college credit or an associate degree, strong written and verbal communication, and prior experience with students, including at-risk learners, in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of college credit, an associate degree or passage of a State approved test required.
• Michigan teaching certificate preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom instructor with development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
• Communicate and work with individual classroom instructors.
• Experience working with students.
• Assist academically at-risk students in a classroom setting and in individual tutoring.
