Job summary

Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools seeks a Special Education Level VI Paraprofessional for Pleasantview Elementary School in Michigan. The role runs 6.5 hours per day, 172 contract days (170 student contact days plus 2 inservice days) per school year, with duties including supporting students with basic and social skills and assisting with mobility and hygiene needs.

Candidates must meet High School diploma requirements and MDE paraprofessional qualifications, be able to lift 50 pounds, and work

• Highly Qualified per MDE requirements for special education paraprofessionals
• Acceptance of students' disabilities and limitations
• Must be able to lift, pull, or move a minimum of 50 pounds
• Accepts direction from supervising teacher(s) and is willing to work as a team

Responsibilities

• Assist students with basic skills, social skills and routine needs
• Supervise special education students to ensure safety
• Assist with collecting and monitoring student progress data
