Job summary

Sauk Rapids-Rice Public Schools is seeking a special education paraprofessional to support students with diverse needs in the classroom. You will assist with behavior management, social skills, crisis intervention and instruction in basic skills, while ensuring student safety and well-being.

You will also help collect and monitor student progress data, collaborating closely with supervising teachers to support individualized education plans.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Highly Qualified per MDE requirements for special education paraprofessionals.
• Acceptance of students' disabilities and limitations.
• Must pass ParaPra/ParaEducator exam scores or college transcripts.
• Ability to lift, pull, or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist student(s) with special needs in the classroom (behavior management, social skills, crisis intervention and instruction in basic skills).
• Supervise special education student(s) to ensure safety.
• Assist with collecting and monitoring student progress data.
