Job summary

Randolph Public School District in Randolph, MA seeks a Severe Special Education Teacher as a long-term substitute to cover a leave from Dec 2, 2026 through early March 2027. The role involves planning weekly lessons, delivering instruction with ABA-based strategies, and differentiating for students with Autism and Mild/Moderate disabilities.

Candidate should hold or be eligible for MA licensure in Mild/Moderate or Severe Disabilities, with preferred autism endorsement and de-escalation

Qualifications

• Preferred: Massachusetts teacher license in Mild/Moderate or Severe Disabilities.
• Preferred: Autism Endorsement, De-Escalation/Physical Management Certification (Safety Care, CPI, etc.).
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Develop weekly lesson plans with all required components.
• Deliver instruction using appropriate resources, equipment, materials, technology and instructional strategies.
• Provide differentiated instruction based on student levels and learning modalities.
• Utilize ABA methodologies and implement behavior support plans.
• Model respectful interactions with students and staff.
• Develop, teach, and review classroom rules, routines, procedures, and expectations.
• Schedule instructional and non-instructional activities for paraprofessionals.
• Maintain ongoing communication regarding students and the program; train classroom assistants.
• Follow chain of command for questions or concerns.
• Complete paperwork on time; prepare MCAS/MCAS-Alt portfolios; manage behavioral crises.
