Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to deliver quality services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The role emphasizes teamwork in planning and implementing student programs, including special instruction, tutoring, and collaboration with general education staff.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s Degree, a valid state teaching certificate (as required by regulations), and (preferred) an LBS1 endorsement with CPR/health certification where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (required or preferred).
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Elementary/Secondary/Special Teaching types; LBS1 endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Participate in planning and implementation of student programs through teamwork.
• Provide special instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation with general education staff.
• Comply with all relevant professional standards and federal/state/local requirements.
