Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Special Education Teacher to deliver quality services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator.

The role emphasizes collaboration with general education staff, planning and implementing individual programs, and providing instructional support, tutorials, and consultations. A Bachelor's degree and state teaching certificate are required, with endorsements preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university is required.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable; TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable; health certificate as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Participate in planning and implementation of student programs with the Special Education Program Administrator and team.
• Plan, deliver, and monitor specialized instruction; provide tutorial assistance; and consult with general education staff.
