Job summary

Minnetonka Public School District is seeking a dedicated Special Education Resource Long Term Sub Teacher (1.0 FTE) for the 2026-27 year. Responsibilities include developing IEP-based programming, communicating with families, and maintaining a positive classroom climate.

The role involves transitions between Minnetonka Middle School West and Clear Springs Elementary with duties spanning collaboration, case management, and ongoing professional development to support students with ASD/ABS needs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders and related supports.
• Experience teaching core content with diverse learners.
• Ability to collaborate with special and general education staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide programming based on IEP and data.
• Communicate with parents via Schoology, newsletters, calls, emails, conferences.
• Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior for learning.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning through meetings and coursework.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
• Manage case load for special education students.
• Complete required Due Process within deadlines.
• Perform other duties of similar nature or level.
