Qualifications

• Bachelor or associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination as noted.
• Criminal Record Checks (C.O.R.I.), S.O.R.I, and fingerprinting completed.
• Demonstrated aptitude for work with children and students.
• Basic knowledge of child growth, development and learning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate integration of students needing unique supports to increase independence.
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists and administration on instruction planning.
• Adapt materials to meet IEP goals and monitor student progress.
• Implement behavior structures and support across class, small group and individual settings.
• Provide feedback on student progress to the department head and maintain safety protocols.

Education

Bachelor/associate degree preferred OR High School Diploma/Equivalent and a passing Parapro score of 464 OR Successful completion of 48 semester or 72 quarter hours towards a bachelor’s or associate degree program from a regionally accredited institution
