Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development, instructional strategies and policies of MCPS.
• Ability to assist with implementation of instructional program and monitor student behavior.
• Patients and ability to work with children, young adults, and staff.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate planned instructional activities during teacher absence.
• Participate in monitoring and ensuring appropriate student behavior.
• Provide academic, behavioral, social, emotional, and physical support as needed.
• Support teachers with clerical tasks and classroom management.
• Assist students with various needs and learning activities, on and off school grounds if required.
