Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a paraeducator at Rock View Elementary School in Kensington, MD to support students with IEPs. You will assist with instructional activities, behavior management, and other classroom tasks to help students access the curriculum.

This part-time position (60 hours bi-weekly) requires flexibility and may involve off-campus activities. A minimum associate degree is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum nine college credits in education-related coursework or equivalent experience.
• Experience with students in structured educational settings preferred.
• ParaPro Assessment with a qualifying score (455+) is required or considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with IEP goals and instructional activities.
• Support classroom management and behavior for students with diverse needs.
• Provide clerical support to teachers and staff as needed.
• May participate in learning activities off school grounds when required.
