Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Special Education team. The role involves delivering high-quality speech therapy services, writing IEP goals, and collaborating with families and educational staff to improve students' communication skills.

The SLP will conduct evaluations, design individualized programs, monitor progress, and ensure accurate documentation and timely billing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in speech pathology.
• CA state SLP credential or licensure in progress.
• Ability to obtain crisis management certification.
• Experience providing SLP services in special education or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with IEPs, goals, and collaboration with educators and families.
• Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders and related conditions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of data-based decision making and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students and design individualized, evidence-based speech therapy programs.
• Develop and write IEP goals and interventions.
• Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans based on data and outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and district representatives.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate documentation and billing within 24 hours.
• Communicate actionable strategies to families for home and school carryover.
• Provide clinical guidance and supervision where appropriate.
• Participate in team meetings and ensure fidelity across settings.
