Job summary

LEARN Academy is seeking a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist to support students with communication needs. You will collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to deliver evidence-based interventions in the educational setting.

You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement IEP-aligned therapy plans, monitor progress, and contribute to inclusive classroom practices. This role offers full-time or part-time hours and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
• Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' communication abilities across articulation, fluency, voice, and language.
• Develop and implement speech and language therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate speech strategies into curriculum and provide consultative services.
• Contribute to the IEP process by sharing progress insights and recommending interventions.
• Maintain documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress in a timely manner.
• Participate in meetings and ongoing professional development to stay current in practice.
• Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies to support access to the curriculum.
• Coordinate with the special education team to align services with the Least Restrictive Environment.
• Mentor or supervise assistants or students in the SLP community.
• Provide trainings to instructional and related service staff.
