• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Teamwork and leadership abilities, with ability to coordinate volunteers.
• Able to respond to emergencies and outside of standard business hours.
• Comfort working with homeless individuals; trauma-informed approach.
• Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to maintain safety.
• Experience or familiarity with shelter operations and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver onsite operations of the shelter program and access to basic services.
• Provide direction and oversight of shelter volunteers.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment for clients.
• Complete daily opening and closing procedures.
• Oversee COVID-19 protocols and safety measures.
• Coordinate with Shelter Manager, volunteers, and partners on site.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate crisis interventions.
• Provide progress reports and update HMIS data.
• Liaise with partnering agencies and safety personnel.
