Job summary

Acceleration Academies seeks a Science Content Coach to serve as the primary instructional resource for Graduation Candidates. You will deliver competency-based content, support personalized learning, and guide students toward graduation and post-secondary success.

You will collaborate with a team to provide academic, social-emotional, and career-oriented support that empowers each learner’s journey, enrolling new students and retaining ongoing engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Texas 7-12 secondary certification in Science/Life Science or Physical Science is REQUIRED.
• 2+ years of teaching experience, preferably at high school level.
• Strong communication, time management, instructional planning, and collaboration skills.
• A deep commitment to helping at-risk youth succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities

• Support new GC enrollment through recruitment and engagement efforts.
• Assist with development of Personalized Learning Plans for GCs.
• Advise assigned GCs by maintaining communication with learners and support team.
• Monitor attendance, academic progress, and overall wellness to ensure engagement.
• Plan and deliver content-area instruction in individual and small group settings.
• Monitor GC progress toward course completion and mastery via assessments.
• Analyze and use academic data to inform instruction and improve outcomes.
• Provide remediation and enrichment to address learning gaps and accelerate success.
• Participate in professional development, data meetings, and school/community events.
• Collaborate with GC support team to develop personalized learning pathways and transition strategies.
• Represent the academy in community events and contribute to academy-wide initiatives.
