Job summary

You will screen, assess and diagnose, develop IEPs, deliver a range of therapy services, collaborate with teachers and parents, maintain records, and participate in professional development to support student growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech pathology and Florida state certification.
• Permit to hire Bachelor level personnel to meet district needs.
• Temporary certificate eligibility and enrollment in a graduate program in speech-language pathology.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Screen students using standardized tests to identify potential speech and language disorders.
• Develop referral procedures for requests for services by teachers, parents and others.
• Select, administer and analyze diagnostic assessments to identify students with disorders.
• Comply with state and district procedures to determine eligibility for services.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and conferences for student benefit.
• Develop an IEP and recommend speech and language therapy services.
