Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Social Worker credential required in NY (LCSW or LMSW).
• NYSED School Social Worker Certification required.
• Fingerprints clearance as per district policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students, including IEP-related services.
• Serve as homeless liaison and connect families with community resources.
• Refer students and families to appropriate agencies and supports.
• Participate in student support teams and special education committees.
• Support attendance interventions and engage at-risk students and families.
• Collaborate with school staff and outside providers to address student needs.
• Address a wide range of social, emotional, behavioral, and family challenges.
