Job summary

Regional School Unit 05 in Freeport is seeking a Long-Term Substitute School Social Worker to support students' social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs at Freeport High School. This is a full-time position running from approximately the beginning of October until the end of January.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling is required.
Active LCPC or LCSW license is required.
Experience with adolescents in school or clinical settings preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Provide individual and small-group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
Serve as a member of the student support team, collaborating with administrators, counselors, teachers, and families.
Responds to crisis situations and conduct risk assessments as needed.
Develop and monitor student support plans.
Connect students and families with community resources and outside agencies.
Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements.
Participate in student support team meetings, IEP meetings, and relevant staff meetings.
