Qualifications

• Licensed professional with school social work endorsement.
• Knowledge of laws, ethics, and standards in school social work.
• Experience with child development, cultural diversity, and family systems.
• Ability to conduct direct and indirect intervention with effective caseload management.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess factors affecting student school functioning.
• Serve as liaison between families and school to promote collaboration.
• Complete social assessments to assist in determining services.
• Implement therapeutic strategies to improve behavior and social interactions.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students and families.
• Offer parent/guardian training on child development and communication.
• Collaborate with staff to promote student learning and interventions.
• Participate in IEP/MTSS teams to develop interventions for academic success.
• Provide crisis intervention and social work case management.
• Conduct staff development on social-emotional factors affecting learning.
