Job summary

Chandler Unified School District is seeking a School Social Worker to support students, families, and Schools across the district. The position involves coordinating services, connecting families with community resources, and promoting social-emotional learning within a comprehensive counseling program.

Minimum qualifications include an MSW or equivalent, LMSW license and School Social Worker Certification, plus relevant school experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work (MSW) or equivalent professional social work degree.
• Arizona State Social Worker license (LMSW) and Arizona School Social Worker Certification.
• One year of successful school social work experience or related field instruction.
• Knowledge of school, district and community resources available for students and families.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Social Work Code of Ethics and sensitivity to diverse cultures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a district-wide liaison between schools, families and community agencies.
• Establish partnerships with community resources to expand access to services for students and families.
• Deliver professional development and training for staff on counseling and social services.
• Collaborate with the director to implement district-wide counseling procedures and best practices.
