Qualifications

• MSW or equivalent professional degree from an accredited school.
• Arizona LMSW license and School Social Worker Certification.
• One year of school social work experience or equivalent field instruction.
• Knowledge of district and community resources for students and families.
• Familiarity with Social Work Code of Ethics and cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as district-wide liaison between schools, families and community agencies.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with community resources for student access to services.
• Create and deliver professional development for staff on counseling and social services.
• Collaborate to develop district-wide procedures related to counseling and social work.
• Assist families in accessing school and community resources.
• Onboard and mentor new counseling and social work staff.
• Collect, review and analyze data for district-wide counseling program planning.

Education

Master’s degree in social work

Arizona State Social Worker license (LMSW)

Arizona School Social Worker Certification

One year of school social work experience or equivalent

Knowledge of district/community resources

Social Work Code of Ethics & cultural sensitivity
