Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work required.
• Valid state licensure as a school social worker required.
• Temporary or full approval as a social worker required.
• Experience working with children and families in a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for collaboration with families and staff.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to students, including counseling, crisis intervention, and group work.
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with school personnel to develop and implement programs that promote a positive school climate and student success.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and community agencies to address student needs and concerns.
• Provide support and education to families on parenting skills, communication, and community resources.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of services and student progress.
• Participate in school-based teams and committees to address student needs and promote initiatives.
• Stay current on best practices in school social work and related fields.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students.
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and staff.
• Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
