Opaa! Food Management is seeking a Director of Nutrition Services to lead the school district’s child nutrition program.

The role oversees production, compliance with HACCP and policy, and relationships with districts, while guiding kitchen teams and ensuring high-quality meals. The position emphasizes leadership, budget management, and adherence to state and federal regulations, with responsibilities spanning operations, compliance, client relationships, and administration to drive program

Competenze

High school diploma or GED required; diploma/certified copy must be presented upon hire.
Minimum 3 years of relevant food service experience; or 1 year with an associate’s degree.
Minimum 1 year in customer service/hospitality; service oriented.
Working knowledge of all kitchen functions and equipment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Mansioni

Observe and ensure seamless daily production by reviewing menus, production boards, by checking freezers, and ensuring food safety compliance (HACCP).
Oversee accurate production records and reimbursement compliance per meal pattern and POS.
Lead kitchen operations, monitor costs per meal, and ensure timely, quality meal production and service.
Supervise staff, conduct meetings, hire/onboard/train direct reports, and manage scheduling per MPLH goals.
Maintain compliance with recipes, menus, HR policies, safety, and USDA standards.
Build strong relationships with school districts, present reports to leadership, and support wellness initiatives.
