Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Jefferson City, Missouri, is seeking a Nutrition Services Kitchen Manager for a full-time, 40-hour week. The role reports to the Nutrition Services Director and ensures safe, efficient food preparation and service for students.

The position requires experience with large-scale food production, staff supervision, and adherence to health codes. Duties include menu planning support, inventory, and coordination with the Food Services Director for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Experience preparing a wide variety of food on a quantity basis.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and serve meals to students during breakfast and lunch shifts.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas to meet health codes.
• Supervise food service staff and assign tasks.
• Attend manager meetings and assist Nutrition Services Director as needed.
• Place weekly food and supply orders and verify invoices.
• Properly store all food and supplies upon delivery.
• Determine daily production quantities to meet NSLP/SBP requirements.
• Record daily production and conduct inventories.
• Oversee daily cleaning of kitchen, cafeteria, and equipment.
