Job summary

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated Certified School Nurse (CSN) to provide comprehensive school health services for the 2026-2027 school year in Broadview, Illinois. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity to support student health, wellness, and academic success while collaborating with a multidisciplinary educational team.

The CSN will administer medications, develop IHPs, coordinate 504 plans and IEPs, maintain health records, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

Requires valid IL PEL with School Nurse endorsement or Illinois CSN credential.
Active IL RN license in good standing is required.
Experience in school-based nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing services to students in accordance with state regulations and district policies.
Assess, monitor, and address student health needs, including chronic and acute medical conditions.
Develop and implement IHPs and collaborate on 504 Plans and IEPs as needed.
Administer medications and perform health-related procedures per physician orders and school guidelines.
Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, families, and community healthcare professionals.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.
