Job description

A highly regarded elementary school is seeking 1-2 Certified School Nurses (CSN) or CSN students to join a busy and supportive campus through the end of the school year. This contract position, starting as soon as possible and extending through May 2027, offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students well-being in a collaborative environment.

This pivotal role involves managing the health office, performing in-depth medical reviews, and participating in IEP and 504 plan processes. Youll support students daily health needsincluding those with complex or personal care requirementsand work closely with teachers, staff, and families. The ability to document and manage records electronically is crucial, as technology is integral to daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and PEL endorsement as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) or active enrollment in a CSN program (not just an RN license).
• Demonstrated initiative and independence in busy settings.
• Flexibility, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented approach.
• Comfort with technology for electronic health documentation and IEP/504 management.
• Willingness and ability to support students with personal care needs as part of a health office team.
• Prior CSN experience and Spanish language skills are highly valued.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the school health office.
