Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a licensed school-based therapist to support students with social-emotional needs within our in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will provide individual or group counseling as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborate with families and school staff, and contribute to data-driven, PBIS-informed interventions using CASE. A master’s degree in social work or related field and professional licensure are required with 2 years of

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, human services, or related field (mental health, psychology, counseling).
• Professional licensure, including LPC or LCPC, LCSW or LMSW, or LMHC, LCMHC.
• 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a school, special education, or behavior health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, or pull-in counseling to students per IEP or BIP.
• Collaborate on creating IEPs, including social-emotional goals and meetings.
• Complete social-emotional and behavior assessments and analyze data to inform practice.
• Develop functional behavior assessments, BIPs, and other transition plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation techniques.
• Support social-emotional learning through targeted curricula and interventions.
• Provide in-service training with other teams.
• Collaborate with external partners to support students, families, and staff.
• Maintain documents in student files per regulatory requirements.
