Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services seeks a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students with communication challenges under licensed SLP supervision. This private practice role focuses on pediatric clients in Maryland with in-person requirements and collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate holds an SLPA degree, state licensure or eligibility, and is willing to provide supervision hours for licensing.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to collaborate with students, parents, educators and staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and documentation management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting speech and language assessments under supervision.
• Provide SLP-guided therapy interventions to support articulation, language and fluency.
• Support implementation of treatment plans and carryover of goals.
• Monitor and document client progress and communicate findings to supervising SLPs.
• Maintain accurate records including session notes and billing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulations governing SLPA services in private practice.
