Job summary

York County School Division is seeking an Occupational Therapist to develop, implement, and coordinate school-based OT services for students with disabilities. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure access to education through functional therapy and accommodations.

The role requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in OT, Virginia licensure, and readiness to travel between multiple school sites. Preference given to candidates with pediatric or school-based experience and an active NPI

Qualifications

• OT degree from an accredited program.
• Current license as required by Virginia Board of Health Professions.
• Experience in school-based or pediatrics preferred.
• NPI number prior to employment.
• Valid Virginia driver's license and use of a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect school-based occupational therapy services.
• Assess and document student progress and coordinate with IEP teams.
• Develop and implement therapy plans aligned with student needs and EBP.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff.
• Travel between multiple school locations to provide services.
• Maintain records, progress notes, and Medicaid billing as applicable.
