Job summary

Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, NC is seeking a School Based Behavioral Health Therapist to provide outpatient mental health services in school settings. You will conduct assessments, provide individual, family and group therapy, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care and contract compliance.

The role requires a Master’s in Mental Health, Counseling, or Social Work, licensure (LCSW/LMHC or PhD) with provisional allowed, and bilingual

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mental Health, Counseling, or Social Work.
• Must have qualifying licensure (LCSW/LMHC or PhD).
• Provisional license allowed. Some positions may require LCAS.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred; language proficiency may be assessed.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy to clients per approved clinical models.
• Conduct Comprehensive Clinical Assessments, trauma-screenings, threat assessments, and crisis plans.
• Incorporate collateral information into case conceptualization and treatment planning.
• Participate in treatment planning and clinical service teams; refer clients to services as needed.
• Provide coaching to clients and staff on behavioral strategies using evidence-based models.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call crisis support and complete required documentation.
