Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the inpatient Medical/Surgical IU at 34401 Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center. The schedule includes 7a-7p or 7p-7a with a base pay range of $38.20–$57.30 per hour, and standard nursing responsibilities across the continuum of care.

Minimum requirements include graduation from a Board of Nursing approved program and active RN licensure with BLS. BSN preferred; typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) served.
• BLS certification required; specialty education may be needed.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate nursing care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates patient, team and unit outcomes and takes appropriate action.
• May administer medications, treatments and therapies per protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback and conflict resolution to support teamwork.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Follows ANA Code of Ethics and practices ethical, unbiased patient care.
• Appropriate delegation to RNs, LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
