Job summary

Youth Opportunity is hiring a Shift Supervisor for the West Central Ohio Academy in Troy, OH. The role oversees facility operations and direct-care staff during a shift, coordinates staffing, monitors supervision and safety, and ensures adherence to program requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience working with youth in residential settings.
• Knowledge of behavioral health and trauma-informed care principles.
• Must have or obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage sensitive situations with professionalism.
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and coordinate facility operations during assigned shifts.
• Make staff assignments and assist with schedules to ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
• Monitor employee performance, provide training, feedback and corrective instruction.
• Coordinate youth appointments, transportation, intake, and discharge activities.
• Monitor youth activities, visitation, safety checks, and required searches.
• Ensure staff follow company policies and program requirements.
• Review grievances, complaints and incident reports; report incidents involving physical interventions.
• Oversee medication-related responsibilities and documentation as authorized by procedures.
• Inspect living areas and maintain shift reports; assist with staff training and development.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate staff and youth during incidents.
