Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a Remote High School Social Studies Teacher for the Digital Academy of Texas (DATX). The role requires a bachelor’s degree, an active state teaching license, and experience teaching online or in brick-and-mortar settings.

You will deliver content remotely, monitor student progress, and support families using Stride K12’s LMS. Occasional travel (about 20%) for events and testing is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and active teaching license required.
• Experience teaching online or in traditional settings is required.
• Proficient with Excel/Outlook/Word/PowerPoint and data-driven instruction.

Responsibilities

• Augments course content using asynchronous/synchronous tools under guidance from principal and coach.
• Maintains grade book, makes placement and promotion decisions, alerts admins to concerns about student performance.
• Supports learning coaches/parents with curricular issues and troubleshooting in a virtual classroom per academy policies.
• Travels on average ~once per month and/or ~20% of the time for face-to-face PD and student testing.
