Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a qualified remote High School Social Studies Teacher for the Digital Academy of Texas (DATX). The role delivers course content online, supports and guides students, and tracks progress through Stride K12’s learning management system.

This is a full-time remote position with occasional travel to school functions. The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree, an active state teaching license, and be proficient with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree AND active state teaching license.
• Ability to collaborate with other teachers to interpret and use student data.
• Willingness to receive coaching regularly.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Experience with online learning platforms.

Responsibilities

• Augments course content using asynchronous and synchronous tools.
• Maintains grade book and monitors student progress; informs admins of concerns.
• Supports learning coaches/parents with curricular issues and basic tech support in a virtual classroom.
• Travels ~20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, as required by school.
