Job summary

Opal Autism Centers is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a full-time, center-based role at our Jacksonville, NC location. You will work under a BCBA, delivering individualized ABA therapy and collaborating with families to support progress and understanding of strategies.

You will collect data, participate in training, and engage in ongoing professional development while adhering to ethical behavior-analytic standards.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification or completion of a BACB-recognized 40-hour RBT training.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year experience with children or individuals with special needs.
• Ability to obtain CPR certification before start.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience with children with autism or developmental disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to ethical standards in behavior analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a treatment team.
• Desire for ongoing professional development and training.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be active on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA.
• Collect data on client behaviors and progress.
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities to promote learning and development.
• Communicate with families about their child's progress and strategies.
• Assist in developing educational materials and resources.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of behavior analysis.
