Job summary

Gersh Autism Academy seeks a compassionate School Contract RBT to provide 1:1 ABA therapy to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, under BCBA supervision. You will implement behavior plans, collect data, and collaborate with teachers and families to support each child’s goals.

The role requires an active RBT certification, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in school and center settings. Travel between sites and a 40-hour week are possible commitments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active RBT certification from the BACB is required.
• Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral challenges preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy in center-based and school-based settings.
• Follow and implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by the BCBA.
• Use evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Address and manage challenging behaviors using ABA and safety care techniques.
• Record accurate data on client progress and behavior during sessions.
• Maintain thorough session notes and organize documentation.
• Report concerns or changes to the supervising BCBA promptly.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, teachers, school staff, and families to ensure consistency.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development.
• Set up and maintain therapy materials and environments to support sessions.
• Adapt materials and teaching approaches to individual client needs.
• Adhere to BACB ethical standards and organizational policies.
